vi on solaris box on my mac term

mac is a different world.
One of the major problems I was facing when using mac, was that I was not able to use vi on all my solaris box when connected using mac terminal.
All I had to do was open a terminal and then ssh to my solaris hosts..
but then vi didnt work and I had to install vim on many machines..
Then I came across this post and voila, now I am happy
Thanks for this post

Which mentions this:

"9. If you dont have the file already, drop xterm-color in
/usr/share/lib/terminfo/x/term-color. Then when/if you use a
color-supporting xterm, you will be able to correctly set TERM=xterm-color
and actually have it work properly. (This actually works better for dtterm
color than its own "dtterm" TERM setting?!!)"

Which provides a link to this:

Is that what the Solaris admins should download and install on the server "

end of things to best resolve this?
